The Sudbury District Branch of the Ontario Genealogical Society launched a facebook Group this week. They're hoping it will be an active group, drawing members from well beyond the Sudbury District. They will be encouraging folks to share stories, ask/answer questions, post photos, let them know of branch events. Visit the branch on facebook.

It's already proved to be a great place to connect with others, to ask for help, and to learn new things.

I recently bought property on whitewater lake in the snider township. It has an old school that was on it but I can't seem to find any information about it. It has the old walls, foundation and even a bunch of old desks. on the snider map it is number 60005.
